Things to (not) miss

So in an effort to blog semi-regularly, for my 3 (ok ok, one...) reader(s), and scanning at the last couple entries, I decided to tell you some things I will miss. and some things I will not.

I am moving one week from today. Actually, I am loading the truck next monday evening - want to help??, the 'rents are old, and we can always use a few bodies to speed up the work! and who can turn down papa johns? So it occurred to me that I will miss a few things about my current location. In no particular order,

  1. being across the street from the metro station. furrealdo.
  2. being 2.0 miles from work.
  3. being able to wake up at 6:35 and get to work by 7:15 having showered and done my hair and put on some makeup
  4. being 1.0 mile from church - maybe less
  5. being able to go home from school and take a nap during my planning period

And things I will not miss?

  1. stairs to get to the house
  2. stairs to get to my room
  3. water infringing on my living space
  4. mold resulting from the water
  5. mold-induced allergies
  6. crazy people strolling through our parking lot and yard as if it is their yard, or their trash can, or their staircase to get to their house.
  7. wood floors above my bed
  8. students knowing where i live and then asking me who i was with at a given time or what i was doing not at school because they saw my car in my driveway
  9. having to take care of the yard - granted i didn't do this very much, but i also didn't enjoy it when i did help. except for cutting down the massive bushes, that was sweet. it was like a major getting-even, because apparently i believed it was the bush's fault we were burglarized. and just so you know, we were burglarized because being robbed is when there are weapons involved. although if you count the large knife on the bed the next day, then i guess weapons were involved.....
and so as to not complain or end on a negative note - my new place will be deeeelightful. it's a bit farther away from school and church, but the location is still de-love-light-icious. oh and i will have a really nice kitchen. oohhh i am so excited for a big kitchen where i feel like i can actually function. ohhhh a kitchen.... *droooolllll*
